StartLabs Is Announcing The Launch Of Second Startup Investment Fund – StartLabs Ventures

After the very successful first year of investing in IT startups from the region of Southeast Europe, US based seed investment fund – StartLabs – is announcing the raise of the second Fund – StartLabs Ventures.

“With this new Fund we are trying not only to continue investing and helping startups from the region, but also help local investors and angels to start investing in early stage IT companies.” said Voja Lalich, General Manager and co-founder of StartLabs. “Therefore, the new StartLabs fund brings together private investors from the US and prominent local people that would like to start investing in startups. We have made an exciting mix of experienced Limited Partners from the US and local investors.”

With this new fund StartLabs will be able to expand its operations with the goal of investing in 8 to 10 IT companies during the next 12 months. These will be early-stage investments, of up to $50,000, with the option of follow-on funding of up to half a million for most successful companies in portfolio.

As the first and only startup private investment fund in the region, StartLabs will continue with the execution of the investment strategy that has been proven to work so far – being minority shareholder as one of the first investors in the startup.

In addition to providing initial funding to SEE startups, Startlabs will continue to work and improve its unique Go-To-Market program tailored for its portfolio companies. The program that is taking place in San Francisco and Belgrade is the unique opportunity for local entrepreneurs to join the global startup community, learn about Lean Startup principles and start gaining initial traction for their companies.
